RES course syllabus is prepared in the context of laws in Singapore governing real estate agency work and shall focus on sale and lease transactions involving residential, commercial and industrial properties located in Singapore. However, the syllabus does not include laws or regulations of other countries governing transactions of foreign properties and real estate salespersons are advised to be familiar of such laws or regulations when advising their clients in foreign properties transactions.
The RES course syllabus is designed to ensure real estate salespersons meet the expectations required of them:
Paper 1 - Basic Real Estate Concept and Law
CU 1 - Real estate market, submarkets, players and government intervention
CU 1 - Law of Agency
CU 1 - Role and Functions of Salespersons and their requisite Knowledge and Skills
CU 1 - Regulation of real estate agency industry
CU 2 - Introduction to Basic Land Law Concepts
CU 2 - Rights in another's land, Registration of Titles, Mortgage, Gift of property, Trust and Succession
CU 2 - Future interest in land, Co-ownership of land, Capacity to hold land and Planning and development of land
Paper 2 - Real Estate Salespersons Practice and Regulations
CU 3 - Principles of Real Estate Marketing, Types of Listing, Methods of Sales and Regulations on Advertisement
CU 3 - Marketing of Residential Property / HDB Flats / Commercial Property / Industrial Property / Special Properties, Negligence and Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act
CU 4 - Law of contract
CU 4 - Sale of uncompleted private properties
CU 4 - Sale of completed private properties and Collective sale of private properties
CU 4 - Sale of HDB flats
CU 4 - Landlord and tenant law
CU 4 - Leasing of private properties, Subletting of HDB flats and Foreign worker housing
CU 4 - Taxes on property
CU 4 - Property finance and financial calculations
Interested applicant must:
* Individuals who are unable to meet the minimum criteria can take the Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) assessment administered by WDA. A WPLN (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing and Numeracy) Level 5 will be recognised in lieu of 4 GCE “O” level passes. Click here for more details on WPLN.
* Foreign applicant registering for RES Course must produce Letter of Support issued by a Estate Agent that is prepared to support salesperson's application to CEA.
Course fee is $738.00 / *$650.00 (Buddy Discount Registration / *Both must register in the same batch). *NTUC union member will enjoy 50% RES Examination fee or up to $250 each year supported under the UTAP (Union Training Assistance Programme).

The course is held over 18 classes and can be completed at varying durations.
Weekday: 6 hr classes, completes in approx. 4 weeks
Weekday Evening: 3 hr classes, completes in approx. 6 weeks
Weekend: 3 and 6 hr classes, completes in approx. 6 weeks

*Overseas & private certs will need to be submitted to the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) for assessment. Submission will be made every Tue to CEA at an administrative fee of $53.50 (incl. of GST). This is payable in advance to "Pioneer Training & Consultancy Pte Ltd", to be collected on behalf of CEA.
